Arezzo’s historical reenactment, held twice a year, in June and September, in the Piazza Grande. The city’s four historic districts compete for the Golden Lance, a trophy awarded to the knight who hits the Buratto the hardest. The event also includes an impressive historical parade with hundreds of participants and performances by the Giostra’s flag-wavers.
